Trepadora (Spanish, "rambling", as in vines or ivy) is released with the command kubire (strangle!). It manifests as eight enormous tentacles, and a sort of bone cowl grows over Luppi's head and along his cheeks. His face remains fully visible at all times. The tentacles can grow spikes in order to inflict additional damage.

Biography:
Luppi's appearance is extremely androgynous, to the point where it's hard to determine whether Luppi is male or female. Matsumoto repeatedly references him as 'male', however. He has short dark hair, a doll-like face with large eyes, and three diamond-shaped markings above his left eye. The remains of his Hollow mask -- a piece of jaw showing some teeth -- sit on the upper left side of his head like a comb. He wears white arrancar-style clothing with some variations: the neckline is wide, almost cowl-like; the sleeves are substantially longer than his arms and drape over his hands; the jacket is zipped to the collar and has cutouts on either side. His Espada tattoo is on his right hip.

Luppi was elevated to the rank of Sixth Espada after Grimmjow lost his arm and was cast down from the top group. Luppi is extremely arrogant about his rank, and repeatedly rubs it in Grimmjow's face that he now holds the sixth slot in Aizen's army. He has a sort of superciliousness when it comes to dealing with others, regardless of their rank; his belief in his own innate superiority gets him into trouble.

During the third attack on Karakura Town, Luppi arrives with Yammi, Grimmjow, and Wonderwice. He engages four opponents with ease through releasing Trepadora, but ends up repelled by Hitsugaya Toushirou's Thousand Year Ice Prison. He later questions Aizen's motivations for the attack as well as the extent of Orihime's powers, but is annihilated (as far as we know) by Grimmjow after the latter regains his status as an Espada.
